Lawn & Landscape Spray Technician

U.S. Lawns of Macomb/Troy is looking for a dependable, motivated Lawn & Landscape Spray Technician to help maintain and improve the health and appearance of our commercial properties.

This is not just a position where you are handed a spray truck and sent out for the day. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their route, communicate professionally with customers and management, identify problems in the field, and grow with the company.

What You’ll Do

Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other plant health products according to label requirements and company standards.
Service commercial lawn and landscape accounts throughout our operating area.
Inspect turf, ornamental plants, and landscaped areas for weeds, insects, disease, and other concerns.
Identify problems and communicate recommended solutions to management.
Complete required pesticide application records and service documentation accurately.
Operate and maintain spray rigs, spreaders, trucks, and related equipment.
Keep assigned vehicles and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Communicate professionally with customers when questions or concerns arise.
Follow all required safety procedures, PPE requirements, and chemical-handling standards.
Assist with other landscape or seasonal operations when needed.

What We’re Looking For

Reliable and able to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely operate trucks, equipment, and application equipment.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physical outdoor work.
Commercial lawn care, fertilization, pesticide application, or plant health experience is preferred.

Licensing & Training

Michigan pesticide applicator certification is preferred.

For the right candidate, we may be willing to provide training and assistance in obtaining the required licensing.

Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
