Position Summary:

As the Director of Franchise Support, you will play a vital leadership role within the U.S. Lawns support organization, reporting directly to the Brand Leader. You will be responsible for building, guiding, and empowering a high-performing Franchise Support team.

In this key role, you’ll leverage the full strength of the U.S. Lawns network, including our systems, business partners, ongoing training programs, and a mix of in-person and virtual events to drive strategic, sustainable growth across franchise territories. Your leadership will ensure seamless communication between the home office and our franchisees, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Franchisee Development & Onboarding
  • Lead and continuously improve the onboarding process for new franchisees, ensuring successful launches and tracking performance during the first 18 months.
  • Collaborate with Franchise Advisors, Onboarding Specialists, and Sales Coaches to provide a high-touch support model.
  • Track key performance indicators and make data-driven recommendations when onboarding targets are not met.
  • Assist the Sales Coach with new franchisee engagement and integration.

Franchise Support Leadership
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for franchisee support issues, coordinating resolution across all internal departments.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on franchisee performance, engagement levels, accounts receivable, and execution of business plans.
  • Coordinate and enhance communication and consistency across Onboarding, Franchise Advisor, and Business Coaching teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in support tools, training, reporting, and franchisee engagement.

Strategic Oversight & Operational Management
  • Define and manage support metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track team and franchisee performance.
  • Participate in the preparation of the U.S. Lawns annual budget and monitor key financial indicators.
  • Maintain select partnership relationships and manage sponsorship programs.

Program & Event Leadership
  • Oversee content development and execution of new franchise training, manager training, and conference education sessions.
  • Coordinate “Meet the Team” Days and Town Hall meetings.
  • Serve on committees responsible for planning and executing in-person and virtual events, ensuring content brings value to the network.
  • Coordinate monthly U.S. Lawns team updates.

Franchise Network Engagement
  • Oversight of Regional Peer Groups and act as liaison with Multi-Site Accounts.
  • Coordinate franchise renewals and support franchise expansion by managing assigned expansion territories.
  • Act as FranConnect Project Manager and system liaison to improve data visibility and user engagement.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and help guide team development through mentorship and performance management.
  • Fulfill duties as the U.S. Lawns Helping Hands Fund Officer.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in franchising, operations, and support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage and influence across levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex programs.
  • Experience in process improvement, performance tracking, and strategic planning.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in management, business development, or administration.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, agronomy, irrigation, snow/ice management, landscaping, preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and project management platforms (e.g., FranConnect).
  • Ability to travel 30-50% of the time.
  • Ability to understand and write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and convey complex ideas in an easily understood manner, with a style that captures and maintains the attention of a group of any size, large or small.
  • Proven track record in revenue generation and business growth, ideally in a franchise or multi-unit environment
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using KPIs, financial metrics, and performance data to inform strategy and improve outcomes

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
